Presenter bio:
Health, wellness, and prevention of injury and disease have always been my passion. My life has been blessed by two wonderful children, Carson and Julia, my soulmate Bob, and my faithful dogs and cats. Life in Vermont is truly a gift and I enjoy outdoor activities of all types year-round. I maintain an active yoga practice and have been a ski patroller at Mount Snow for 40 years. I love to sing and play guitar and learn the piano.
Since 1988, I have practiced in many different settings and have a broad perspective and understanding of how we develop and age, and the challenges we face. Personal well-being, regular exercise, and conscious eating are an integral part of my life and I enjoy sharing and promoting these ideals. During my doctoral research, I embraced the necessity of quality sleep and functional breathing and have been presenting on the topic of Sleep Disordered Breathing and Interrupted Sleep to a variety of audiences. My goal is to continue to raise awareness of the importance of sleep and have this become an integral part of PT training.
